“All That I Need Is Jesus”

Day 10

1. Jesus is leading the way that I take,
He has promised He never will leave;
All that I have He has given to me,
Oh such blessing from Him I receive.

Chorus:

All that I need is Jesus, all that I need for today.
Every new morning His riches are mine,
I can trust Him to order my way,
He is all that I need for today.

2. Jesus has told us His grace is enough,
Like a fountain that never runs dry;
I in my weakness can draw upon Him,
for His strength is a constant supply.

Ruth Hallett, John’s wife, told me that “Johnny and I would say this every morning” (the chorus of “All That I Need.”)

All that I need is Jesus, all that I need for today.
Every new morning His riches are mine,
I can trust Him to order my way,
He is all that I need for today.

John and Ruth realized that whatever they had came from Jesus. They personally knew that He would order their way. “He is all that I need for today.”

1. Jesus is leading the way that I take,

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you. (Psalm 32:8)

I guide you in the way of wisdom and lead you along straight paths. (Proverbs 4:11)

The LORD will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail. (Isaiah 58:11)

But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. (John 16:13)

He has promised He never will leave;

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you." (Deuteronomy 31:6, 8)

No one will be able to stand up against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you. (Joshua 1:5)

Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you." (Hebrews 13:5)

All that I have He has given to me,
Oh such blessing from Him I receive.

The blessing of the LORD brings wealth, and he adds no trouble to it. (Proverbs 10:22)

I will bless them and the places surrounding my hill. I will send down showers in season; there will be showers of blessing. (Ezekiel 34:26)

Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it. (Malachi 3:10)

From the fullness of his grace we have all received one blessing after another. (John 1:16)
Chorus:

All that I need is Jesus, all that I need for today.
Every new morning His riches are mine,

But as for me, I shall sing of Your strength;Yes, I shall joyfully sing of Your lovingkindness in the morning,For You have been my stronghold And a refuge in the day of my distress. (Psalm 59:16)

To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning And Your faithfulness by night, (Psalm 92:2)

The LORD'S lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, For His compassions never fail.
They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.
“The LORD is my portion," says my soul, "Therefore I have hope in Him." (Lamentations 3:22-24)

I can trust Him to order my way,

And those who know Your name will put their trust in You,For You, O LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You. (Psalm 9:10)
O my God, in You I trust (Psalm 25:2)
The LORD is my strength and my shield; My heart trusts in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart exults, And with my song I shall thank Him. (Psalm 28:7)
Trust in the LORD and do good; Dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness.(Psalm 37:3)

When I am afraid, I will put my trust in You. (Psalm 56:3)

Trust in Him at all times, O people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah. (Psalm 62:8)

I will say to the LORD, "My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust!" (Psalm 91:2)

Let me hear Your lovingkindness in the morning; For I trust in You; Teach me the way in which I should walk; For to You I lift up my soul. (Psalm 143:8)

He is all that I need for today.

What scripture verses do you see in the second verse?

2. Jesus has told us His grace is enough,
Like a fountain that never runs dry;
I in my weakness can draw upon Him,
for His strength is a constant supply.

Can you say that Jesus is all you need for today?

Try repeating that verse every day for a week.  Repeat it as a prayer.
Then, let me kow what has happened that week in which you consciously and actively realized that you needed Him....and He did meet your needs!
