17.  “Encourage One Another”

I Thessalonians 5:11 Therefore encourage one another and build up one another, just as you also are doing.

“But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.”  (Hebrews 3:13)

“and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.” (Hebrews 10:24-25 NASB)

Psalm 10:17  You hear, O LORD, the desire of the afflicted; you encourage them, and you listen to their cry,

We should do the same:

“Seek justice, encourage the oppressed. Defend the cause of the fatherless, plead the case of the widow. (Isaiah 1:17 NIV)

“Joseph, a Levite from Cyprus, whom the apostles called Barnabas (which means Son of Encouragement), sold a field he owned and brought the money and put it at the apostles’ feet.” (Acts 4:35-37 NIV)

“Then when he arrived and witnessed the grace of God, he rejoiced and began to encourage them all with resolute heart to remain true to the Lord;” (Acts 11:23)

“I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong— that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith. And we urge you, brothers, warn those who are idle, encourage the timid, help the weak, be patient with everyone. (1 Thessalonians 5:14)
